The Attorney General, Dominic Grieve QC MP, has appointed Zoe Johnson and Bobbie Cheema as Senior Treasury Counsel to the Crown at the Central Criminal Court. Treasury Counsel prosecutes, usually at the Central Criminal Court, some of the most serious criminal cases in the country.
Both are leading criminal practitioners and prosecute very serious criminal cases, including homicide and terrorism. Miss Johnson has an expertise in criminal matters which have a medical element to them. Miss Cheema has also acted for the Serious Fraud Office.

Zoe and Bobbie both proved to be outstanding candidates who have the ability to provide first class advice on legal, procedural and evidential issues and assimilate the specialist knowledge required for complex cases.
Mr Brian Altman QC is First Senior Treasury Counsel and heads the team of 10 Senior and 8 Junior Treasury Counsel. Duncan Penny assumes the role of First Junior Counsel. Appointments to Senior Treasury Counsel are for 3 years (although this can be extended).
