Open Government Partnership summit: call for ideas
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) is asking for ideas for session topics, talks or debates for its summit, October 31 to 1 November 2013.

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) aims to help empower citizens by making governments more effective, transparent and accountable.

In just over 3 months around 1,000 participants will gather together in London for the 2013 OGP annual summit, bringing together thinkers, decision-makers and leaders from countries around the world. The OGP is keen to give everyone with an interest in openness and transparency the chance to get involved, suggest session topics and propose talks or debates.

How you can get involved

Interested in helping to shape the summit? Send in your ideas by September 1 2013.

You can get in touch if you would like to take part in the summit day, or if you have ideas for possible debates or speakers. The OGP would also like to hear from civil society organisations for a related event on 30 October 2013.

About the OGP summit

The summit will take place in London between 31 October and 1 November 2013. There will be 3 parts:

  • the first session will feature new commitments made by political leaders and show examples of where the OGP is making a difference
  • the second session will include a core programme on themes of interest
  • the final part of the summit will feature sessions or demonstrations suggested by participants
