Information on the government's intention to protect spending for schools, Sure Start and 16 to 19 education in the year 2010 to 2011.

The government today announced that spending on schools, Sure Start and 16 to19 education will be protected in the year 2010 to 2011 - with £670 million of in-year savings to help tackle the £156 billion deficit.
