Tony King has been reappointed as the Pensions Ombudsman and the Pension Protection Fund Ombudsman for a third term from 1 September 2013.

Tony King is well-respected by the pensions industry, with a strong track record of achievements. During his tenure he has transformed the work of the Pensions Ombudsman delivering much higher output and improved customer service.

- The re-appointment of Tony King has been carried out in accordance with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments (OCPA) code of practice.
- Tony King’s current contract expires on 31 August 2013. His new contract will start from 1 September 2013. His remuneration will be £129,579 a year from the date of his reappointment.
- Tony King was first appointed as the Pensions Ombudsman in September 2007 for a period of three years and he was reappointed for a second three-year term in September 2010. Previously, he was an Ombudsman in the Financial Ombudsman Service.
