Changes to NHS optical voucher values from 1 April 2012

Increases to NHS optical voucher values published today will come into effect from 1 April 2012.

A letter informs primary care trusts (PCTs), NHS trusts, optometrists, ophthalmic medical practitioners and dispensing opticians of the increases.

PCT chief executives and staff responsible for general ophthalmic services and hospital eye service are requested to ensure that payments that relate to the optical vouchers are made in accordance with the letter.
