Guidance letter on the Heatwave plan 2012

A letter highlighting the publication of the Heatwave Plan 2012 and the key changes in this year's plan compared to that issued in 2011.

The Chief Medical Officer, NHS Chief Executive, Director of Nursing and the Director General for Social Care, Local Government and Care Partnerships have today written to NHS and LA chief executives and other health professionals to highlight the publication of the Heatwave Plan 2012.

The letter contains details of the arrangements that will apply, and the actions recommended in advance of, and during, a heatwave.
