National and local clinical excellence awards for 2012 announced

The 2012 clinical excellence awards round at national and local level has been announced.

The online application process will be open from Monday 28 May until Friday 17 August. The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards will issue guidance and supporting material shortly.

The Committee will make recommendations for 300 new national awards, as in 2010 and 2011. For local awards guidance to trusts should confirm that the investment criterion remains unchanged, a ratio of at least 0.20 new awards to eligible consultant.
