Stephen Nickell nominated for re-appointment to OBR Budget Responsibility Committee

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, today proposed the re-appointment of Stephen Nickell as a member of the OBR’s Budget Responsibility Committee (BRC).

Stephen Nickell’s first term on the BRC expires on 25 October 2013. If re-appointed, he intends to remain in post for three years.

The Chancellor said:

Stephen has been a very effective member of the BRC and has made a significant contribution to the work and standing of the OBR during his first term of office.

I am very glad that Stephen will continue to serve on the BRC, providing a high level of macroeconomic expertise and ensuring continuity for the BRC.
