The Secretary of State attended a ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the Belfast Branch of the Royal Marines Association aboard HMS Caroline in the city’s Titanic Quarter.
Mr Brokenshire joined other invited guests including serving and former members of the Corps and local Sea Cadets, as well as Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Belfast, the Lord Mayor of Belfast and the Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Today we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Belfast Branch of the Royal Marines Association and paid tribute to all those current and former members of the Corps whose bravery, loyalty and dedication to serving and protecting others is evident every single day. As Secretary of State for Northern Ireland it was a privilege to be in attendance and applaud the contribution you have made over the past 30 years.
