Damehoods conferred: Siobhan Keegan and Denise McBride
The Queen has been pleased to approve that the honour of DBE be conferred on Siobhan Keegan and Denise McBride.

The Queen has been pleased to approve that the honour of DBE (Dame of the British Empire) be conferred upon Siobhan Roisin Keegan QC and Denise Anne McBride QC, following their appointment as Justices of the High Court.

Notes to editors

Siobhan Roisin Keegan QC was called to the Bar in 1994 and took Silk in 2006. She was elected vice chair of the Bar Council of Northern Ireland in 2014.

Denise Anne McBride QC was called to the Bar in 1989 and took Silk in 2011. She was vice chair of the Bar Council of Northern Ireland between 2012 and 2014.
