Lord-Lieutenant for Cornwall
Appointment of Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE DL as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the County of Cornwall.

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE DL as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for the County of Cornwall to succeed Lady Mary Holborow DCVO when she retires on 19 September 2011.

Biographical Notes 

Colonel Bolitho was born in December 1955 and brought up in Cornwall.  He served in the Grenadier Guards for 20 years, returning to manage the family businesses near Penzance in 1998.   Colonel Bolitho is currently High Sheriff (until March 2012) and a Deputy Lieutenant.
