Lord-Lieutenant for East Lothian: Major Michael Ingouville Williams
Major Michael Ingouville Williams is appointed as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for East Lothian.

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Major Michael Ingouville Williams MBE DL as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for East Lothian.

Biographical notes

Major Williams attended RMA Sandhurst in 1964 and was commissioned into the Royal Tank Regiment in 1966.

Major Williams has farmed in East Lothian since 1986.

Major Williams received an MBE in 2001 for Services to Agriculture, Conservation and Biodiversity in East Lothian.

Major Williams was appointed DL in 1997 and VLL in 2010.
