Lord-Lieutenant for Fife: Robert William Balfour
Mr Robert William Balfour has been appointed as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Fife.

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Robert William Balfour DL as Lord-Lieutenant for Fife to succeed Mrs C Margaret Dean CVO, who retired on 16 November 2014.

Biographical notes

Robert Balfour is Managing Partner of Balbirnie Estate and Balbirnie Home Farms, Markinch, Fife. A former Convener of the Scottish Landowners Federation and Chairman of the Association of Deer Management Groups, he has also been an Area Board Member with Scottish Natural Heritage.

Robert Balfour holds a number of voluntary positions in Fife and surrounding areas with an emphasis on countryside and coastal stewardship and preservation. He is currently a General Trustee of the Church of Scotland.
