Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed: Sara Elinor Edwards
Miss Sara Elinor Edwards is appointed as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed.

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Miss Sara Elinor Edwards DL as Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed to succeed the Hon Robin Lewis CVO OBE. Miss Edwards will take up her duties on 7 February 2016.

Biographical notes

Sara Elinor Edwards has been vice Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed since April 2011.

A history graduate with deep family roots in the farming community of the county, she is also well known in Wales for her television work. She is a Divisional Vice President of NSPCC, and is involved with several other charitable organisations such as St. John Cymru and the Hijinx Theatre Company.

She is the daughter of surgeon John M. Edwards and actress and broadcaster Gwenyth Petty. She is married to Lieutenant General Jonathon Riley CB DSO, and they have 1 daughter.
