Earlier today the Prime Minister joined members of both Houses to listen to Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s address.
The PM hosted Prime Minister Harper for lunch along with a number of parliamentarians including the Foreign Secretary.
During their bilateral meeting the PM and Prime Minister Harper discussed key priorities for the Lough Erne Summit, and agreed that the G8 should make progress on extractives transparency and the tax agenda.
Both leaders agreed on the need to redouble efforts to conclude the Canadian-EU trade agreement and the need to force political transition in Syria to end the conflict there.
The PM congratulated Prime Minister Harper on his speech to the joint meeting of the House of Commons and Lords.
