PM statement on Lord Gould

The Prime Minister has made a statement following the death of Lord Philip Gould.

Mr Cameron said:

Philip Gould will be greatly missed. He made an enormous contribution to politics and public life, and his brave battle against cancer provided inspiration to many. I enjoyed meeting him on a number of occasions and although we differed in our politics he was always fascinating and a pleasure to meet. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
