The Prime Minister’s Spokesperson answered questions on GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca/Pfizer, the Football Association and immigration.

GlaxoSmithKline

Asked about allegations of bribery by a GlaxoSmithKline official in China, the PMS said that the government was aware of the allegations and was providing ongoing consular assistance to Mr Reilly, and that the government would continue to monitor developments closely.

AstraZeneca / Pfizer

Asked about a tweet by Labour MP Austin Mitchell, the PMS referred to comments made by the Women’s Minister Nicky Morgan.

Football Association

Asked about Richard Scudamore, the PMS referred to comments made by Sports Minister Helen Grant.

Immigration

Asked about whether immigration figures were on course, the PMS said the number of non-EU migrants had fallen and that the government wants to see net migration levels come down to the tens of thousands.
