The Prime Minister's Official Spokesperson answered questions on the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse, GCHQ and the economy.

Independent panel inquiry into child sexual abuse

When asked about the independent panel inquiry into child sexual abuse, the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesperson (PMOS) said the Prime Minister was confident that Fiona Woolf and the rest of the inquiry panel would carry out their duties to the high standards of integrity required.

When asked about GCHQ, the PMOS said the Prime Minister had been clear before that the UK’s intelligence officers did a vital and important job keeping the country safe without any public recognition, and deserved the public’s support.
