Press Briefing afternoon 29 April 2014
The Prime Minister’s Spokesperson (PMS) answered questions on HS2, Royal Mail and the Ann Maguire murder.

HS2

Asked about the PM not voting at the HS2 vote, PMS said that the PM had expressed his strong support on HS2 on many occasions.

Royal Mail

Asked about the naming of 17 priority investors involved in the Royal Mail privatisation, PMS referred to the SoS for BIS’ evidence to the Select Committee.

Ann Maguire murder

Asked whether there would be a response by a Minister to the murder of school teacher Ann Maguire, PMS said that the PM expressed his condolences to Mrs Maguire’s family and Corpus Christi College’s entire community. A police investigation was now under way and any lessons to be learned as a result of that investigation would be looked at.
