Asked if the Royal Charter would be affected by the announcement of an injunction at the Royal Court tomorrow, the PMS said legal proceedings were still underway. The current timetable still stood.
Lewisham hospital
Asked if the Prime Minister (PM) was disappointed over the Court of Appeal and the decision on Lewisham hospital, the PMS said that this was the case. The right thing was to put in place the measures that ensure the highest levels of care for patients and that had always been the objective.
Energy
Asked if the PM would consider the comments from the energy companies that they would cut bills if green levies were reduced, the PMS said the government was already looking at how to roll back green charges. Government wanted to reduce the pressure on bills and increase competition. This was being considered ahead of the Autumn Statement.
