The Prime Minister’s Spokesperson (PMS) answered questions on Royal Mail, Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) and HS2.

Royal Mail

Asked about the involvement of Lazard in advising the government on the privatisation of Royal Mail, the PMS said that the issue had been covered in the National Audit Office report and that the usual procedures and regulatory processes had been followed.

PMQs

Asked about the Prime Minister’s reaction to an intervention by the Speaker during an answer given at PMQs, the PMS said that all members of the House would follow the Speaker’s guidance and that the Prime Minister’s focus was on the economy.

HS2

Asked about the Prime Minister not voting at the HS2 vote, PMS said that the Prime Minister had expressed his strong support for HS2 on many occasions and that his schedule would be set out on a daily basis.
