The Prime Minister’s Spokesperson (PMS) answered questions on fixed odds betting, planning reform, the Lobbying Bill and the Duggan inquest.

Fixed odds betting

Asked for the Prime Minister’s PM’s view on fixed odds betting terminals, the PMS said the PM had made his view clear at Prime Minister’s Questions (PMQs) the previous day.

Planning reform

Asked about planning rules and impact on the countryside, the PMS said the PM thought it was right to protect the green belt and development on green belt land was at record low levels. The government was putting local communities at the heart of planning decisions through Local Plans.

PM Tusk call

Asked about relations with PM Tusk of Poland after a scheduled phone call, the PMS said the PM had strong relations with his Polish counterpart. They spoke regularly at European summits and the government worked with the Polish government on a range of issues.

Lobbying Bill

Asked about the Lobbying Bill, the PMS said as with all pieces of legislation it was important it was thoroughly debated and the government would listen to points raised.

Duggan

Asked about the conclusion of the Mark Duggan inquest, the PMS said the PM was aware of the outcome.
