Prime Minister David Cameron has offered his best wishes to the Jewish community for Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year.
Mr Cameron said:
I am delighted to send my best wishes to the Jewish community in the UK, in Israel and around the world as you celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
It is my hope that the new year is one which brings us closer to lasting peace for Israel and the wider region.
I would like to wish you and your families a very Happy New Year. L’Shanah Tovah U’Metuka (to a happy and sweet new year).
