Statement on the Prime Minister's call with the President-elect of the Republic of Cyprus

A Downing Street spokesperson said:

The Prime Minister called the President-elect of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, this evening to congratulate him on his election success and to say that he looked forward to working closely with Mr Anastasiades on shared priorities in the months ahead.

The President-elect thanked the Prime Minister for his warm message of support and said he looked forward to meeting with the Prime Minister soon to discuss co-operation.
