The Medical Research Council is dedicated to improving human health. It supports research across the spectrum of medical sciences, in universities and hospitals, in its own units and institutes in the UK, and in units in Africa.
The Medical Research Council was founded in 1913 to tackle the public health menace of tuberculosis. Triennial review began 2013.
