David Quarrey was due to leave his role as Ambassador to NATO at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office following the July 2024 NATO summit.

Mr Quarrey sought the Committees advice about taking up a role with the HSBC Group. The letter containing the Committees consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in August 2024.
