Check if youre in a zone on the bird flu disease zone map. If youre in a disease control zone or AIPZ you must follow the rules.

If you keep poultry or other captive birds in an AIPZ, use this self-assessment checklist to make sure youre meeting the minimum biosecurity standards to protect them against bird flu.

  1. If you keep poultry or other captive birds in an avian influenza prevention zone (AIPZ), your premises must now be registered on the kept bird register. The AIPZ biosecurity checklists have been updated to reflect this.

  2. Uploaded new checklists as mandatory housing measures in England and Wales have been lifted. Housing measures are still in place in some bird flu control zones.
