This form is for premises to apply for registration as a hatching egg and chick production establishment. This applies to:

  • pedigree breeding establishments
  • breeding establishments
  • hatcheries

The guidance document explains the legal requirements for producing and marketing hatching eggs, and poultry chicks. The regulations apply to:

  • hatcheries with a setting capacity of 1,000 eggs and over
  • breeding establishments and multiplying establishments with 100 birds or more.
