Use this service to report dead wild birds. Your report will help us understand how diseases are spreading.
Well ask you:
- where you found the dead birds
- what type of dead birds you found
- how many dead birds you found
- your contact details (find out how your personal information is used)

When you report dead wild birds, they may be collected and tested for bird flu or other cause of death.
Not all dead wild birds will be collected.
Do not touch dead wild birds
If you suspect the wild birds you have reported have died as a result of:
- wildlife crime, you must report them to the police
- poisoning from pesticides or rodenticides, call the Wildlife Incident Investigation Scheme (WISS) on 0800 321 600(calls are free)

The service was updated on 14 May 2024 to make it easier to report the location of dead wild birds (including being able to drop a pin on a map), provide details of the condition of the dead wild bird and report a wider range of wild bird species groups.
