Centre for Defence Enterprise
Mobbu Limited received Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) funding to investigate whether an off-the-shelf wearable smartwatch could be used as a multi-factor authentication solution for mobile devices.
Mobbu developed a prototype using an iPhone and Pebble smartwatch to prove that relevant software encryption libraries could be developed and deployed on a small computing device and a mobile device to secure the communications between both.
Brad Legge, CEO of Mobbu says:
The funding we got from CDE enabled us to research and validate our product idea, before going on to develop it into an enterprise mobile security product.
Mobbu Limited was established in July 2004; it employs 15 people and is located in Brighton. The company designs and delivers mobile security solutions for both the public and private markets.
