Civil Nuclear Constabulary
Alex joined the organisation eight years ago and works as an AFO (Authorised Firearms Officer) helping the CNC to fulfil its core role to protect nuclear material and the Sellafield site.
Alex was nominated for the event by the executive team for his contribution and work in the field of ethnicity, diversity and inclusivity (EDI) as CNC Custodian for the Multi Ethnic Support Network (MESN) and for being an excellent ambassador promoting CNC locally and nationally as an equal opportunity and inclusive employer.
During the event Alex looked immaculate wearing his CNCs number one ceremonial uniform and was stationed at the Horse Guards parade observing the crowd alongside colleagues from the Metropolitan Police, National police forces and the military, ushering invited guests to the stands while also remaining vigilant to report anything suspicious or out of place.
Alex said I feel honoured to be given the opportunity to be part of a momentous colourful event representing CNC as an ambassador while also dedicating my service to the Queen.
It means a lot to me bearing in mind Her Majesty became Queen while on holiday in my native country Kenya 70 years ago.
It was a very proud moment for me and for Kenya as part of the Commonwealth.
It will be in my memoirs as one of my memorable days that I will be able to share in years to come with family and colleagues.
Assistant Chief Constable Louise Harrison said: We are immensely proud that Alex was able to represent the CNC at such a momentous occasion.
He is an exemplar police officer and an outstanding ambassador for the organisation and the work tha
