Competition Markets Authority
The CMA is launching its consultation on its proposed recommendations to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy regarding the retained Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation (retained MVBER).
The CMA is seeking responses from all interested stakeholders by 22 August (5pm). Please email your response to mvberreview@cma.gov.uk. You can also contact us with any queries using this email address.
These responses will inform the CMAs final recommendation to the Secretary of State on whether to replace the retained MVBER when it expires on 31 May 2023.
Further information on the retained MVBER can be found on our webpage.
In accordance with our policy of openness and transparency, we will publish non-confidential versions of responses on our webpages. If your response contains any information that you regard as sensitive and that you would not wish to be published, please provide at the same time a non-confidential version for publication on our webpages which omits that material and which explains why you regard it as sensitive. When submitting your response please also let us know if you wish to remain anonymous.
The responses to this consultation will be shared with BEIS in order to facilitate consideration of the CMAs final recommendation. In addition, responses to the impact questions will be used to inform the preparation by BEIS of impact assessments for any block exemption order the Secretary of State may decide to make.
