Digital Services 2 is now live on the Digital Marketplace

The Digital Services 2 agreement is now live on the Digital Marketplace helping support the delivery of the Government Digital Strategy by:

  • giving customers easy access to 169 suppliers with the right capabilities, who comply with the Digital by Default Standard and align with the Government Service Design Manual
  • providing a large, diverse pool of capable digital specialist suppliers, 77% of which are small and medium sized businesses
  • ensuring supplier capacity to deliver digital projects at multiple UK locations
  • providing a flexible and speedy route to meet customers digital project commissioning requirements

New features of Digital Services 2 include:

  • 6 new digital roles making a total of 18
  • digital capabilities have been consolidated from 8 to 7
  • additional experience levels: junior, intermediate and senior
  • ability to specifically request technical specialist for niche technologies
  • potential for developers to work remotely (where an on-site developer is in place)
  • improved further competition process including test or demonstration and scrutiny process
  • improved warranty provision

Managed service

For central government departments and their arms length bodies and non-departmental bodies a managed procurement service is also available.
