Since our last update (originally distributed to Fingermark Enhancement Laboratories (FELs) in January 2024, but published online at a later date), the fingermark visualisation research at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) continues to prioritise finding a suitable replacement for HFE 7100 in Indandione applications.
Work continues on both the flammable and non-flammable solvent options; exploring international formulations and alternative application methods.
