Speaking after the visit, Jesse Norman said:
The UK government has been clear that the oil and gas industry will be a central part of our Industrial Strategy. Aberdeen is the industrys beating heart and Ive seen first-hand today the world leading technology and expertise we have here.
In the face of significant challenges the industry has demonstrated time and time again how resilient and adaptive it can be, and we will continue to support it wherever we can through these difficult times.
