Lance Batchelor
Lance is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Saga Plc, the travel, insurance and healthcare group for the over 50s. Previously he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dominos Pizza Group Plc, and prior to that he held a number of senior marketing positions at Vodafone, Amazon.com and Tesco. Between 1982 and 1990 he served in the Royal Navy. His second term as Trustee of the National Gallery runs until 9 January 2019.
Prof Dexter Dalwood
British artist Dexter Dalwood has been building a strong reputation over the last decade in the UK, Europe and the States. He studied at St Martins and the RCA and had a mid-career retrospective at Tate St Ives in 2010 for which he was nominated for the Turner prize. He is Professor of Fine Art and Design at Bath Spa University. His second term as Trustee of the National Gallery runs until 9 February 2019.
John Nelson
A chartered accountant and banker by background, John took up the position of Chairman of the Council of Lloyds in October 2011. He recently retired as Chairman of property company Hammerson Plc and Deputy Chairman of retail group Kingfisher plc. He is a senior advisor to Charterhouse Capital Partners LLP and is Chairman of Chichester Harbour Trust. Prior to joining the Board of the National Gallery, he served for 10 years on the Development committee, which he now chairs. His second term as Trustee of the National Gallery runs until 10 October 2018.

The Board of Trustees of the National Gallery is appointed by the Prime Minister, and appointment processes follow the OCPA Code of Practice. Trustees are unpaid.
