Born in the East End of London, Rob Dickins has had an extensive? ?career in the music industry as Chair of Warner Music UK and as Chair of the industry body, the BPI. In 2002 he was awarded a CBE for services to music. His interest in Art & Design? ?led him to become a Trustee of the V&A Museum ?where he also sat on the board of V&A Enterprises?. Rob was a founding Trustee and a principal fund-raiser for Youth Music. He is a longtime supporter and Trustee of Watts Gallery - Artists Village, dedicated to the work of the Victorian artist and visionary G.F. Watts and his wife Mary. He ??donated a collection of over 4,000 19th Century photographs ?to the Gallery depicting the lives of Victorian artists. He recently retired as Chair of The Theatres Trust and is a Trustee of Handel & Hendrix in London. Rob lectures in music and art history, is a visiting Professor at London Metropolitan University and the University of the Arts, London. He is also a guest lecturer at Berklee College of Music in Valencia.
