UK SHORE and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) are jointly allocating 7.4 million for a competition to establish a flagship UK national Clean Maritime Research Hub.

The competition calls for consortia of UK research organisations, such as universities, to bid to establish and deliver the virtual hub. The successful hub will run until March 2027 and will be required to develop partnerships with industry and civic organisations to identify relevant research challenges and leverage match-funding.

The hub will build capacity, evidence, and expertise in the fundamental science behind clean maritime technologies, generating knowledge for the sector to adopt in the development of clean maritime solutions.
