Recognition of EU declarations of conformity
Great Britain recognises EUdeclarations of conformity for the placing on the market of rail interoperability constituents, where technical specifications for interoperability (TSIs) and national technical specifications notices (NTSNs) requirements are equivalent.
This is in accordance with the current recognition arrangements in the Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2011.
Further assessment and documentation is only required against additional requirements specific to Britains railway. These are identified in the NTSNs, which will also indicate which interoperability constituents can be placed on the market in Great Britain without further assessment.
