You must tell DVLA if you have a spinal condition or an injury to your spine that affects your ability to drive.

You can be fined up to 1,000 if you dont tell DVLA about a medical condition that affects your driving. You may be prosecuted if youre involved in an accident as a result.

If youve had spinal surgery, check with your doctor before you start driving again.

Car or motorcycle licence

Fill in form G1 and send it to DVLA. The address is on the form.

Bus, coach or lorry licence

Fill in form G1V and send it to DVLA. The address is on the form.
