You need to apply for a capital grants plan with the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) before you can use and claim this capital item.

Once you have your agreement, complete the invasive non-native plant species management plan template to:

  • assess the impact that invasive non-native plant species are having on your land

  • record the control and monitoring methods you will use

  • create a map of your holding where you will control and monitor invasive non-native plant species

The completed template and map will be your invasive non-native plant species management plan.

You should update your plan regularly and record any changes. Use continuation sheet A, B or C if you fully complete the tables in your plan.

Get your plan approved

You need to get your invasive non-native plant species management plan template approved by either:

  • the Forestry Commission, if you intend to undertake invasive plant control in woodlands

  • Natural England, for all other habitat types and mixed agreements, including woodlands and one or more other habitat type

You should do this once you get your capital grants plan agreement with RPA.

Make a claim for payment

1. Submit a claim for payment using the Rural Payments service or a claim form.

2. Submit your template and map by post or email to RPA.
