Overview

We attend a range of events to meet customers and give advice and guidance on planting woodland. We also hold face-to-face and online training events and webinars on specific grant schemes and areas of forestry, that we encourage people to sign up to in advance.

We update this page regularly with new events.

Heathfield Agricultural Show (East Sussex)

Date: 25 May 2024

Come and talk to us at the Heathfield Agricultural Show. Well be there to chat aboutwoodland creation and management, the benefits of woodland on your farm and the grants and incentives available.

Northumberland County Show

Royal Bath and West Show

Date: 30 May to 1 June 2024

Well be at the Royal Bath and West Show to chat about the grants and incentives available to support woodland creation and management.

ICF Agroforestry Day

Date: 5 June 2024 (Tyne and Wear)

Join the Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) North England Regional Group for an introduction to agroforestry. Our Agroforestry Adviser, James Ramskir-Gardiner, will cover agroforestry types and systems, as well as the forestry sectors role. ICF Agroforestry Day includes lunch and a farm walk.

Royal Cornwall Show

Date: 6 to 8 June 2024

Well be at the Royal Cornwall Show to chat about the grants and incentives available to support woodland creation and management.

Cereals 2024 (Hertfordshire)

Date: 11 to 12 June 2024

Visit us along with Royal Payments Agency (RPA) and Defra at Cereals 2024; one of the largest trade shows for arable farmers. We will be on hand to discuss woodland creation, management, tree health and the grants and support available for farmers and landowners.

Woodland Creation and Deer Management

Date: 18 June 2024 (Shropshire)

From agroforestry, landscape recovery, to deer and squirrel management, explore the role trees can play in creating a sustainable business at Woodland Creation and Deer Management in Shropshire. Hear from experts with a series of talks in the morning, followed by an afternoon workshop where you can get one-to-one advice on your land.

Royal Cheshire County Show

Date: 18 to 19 June 2024

Join us and Mersey Forest at the Royal Cheshire County Show. We will be available to discuss woodland creation and the benefits of trees.

Lincolnshire Show

Date: 19 to 20 June 2024

Join us at the Lincolnshire Show at our stand with other Defra organisations. We will be on hand to discusswoodland creation, woodland management, the benefits of woodland on your land and the grants and incentives available.

Groundswell (Hertfordshire)

Date: 26 to 27 June 2024

Join us at Groundswell and discover how tree planting can support and improve biodiversity, soil health, provide protection for crops and livestock as well as improving water quality and mitigating flooding.

Royal Norfolk Show
