The report highlights the continued, fundamental importance of fingerprints and DNA in solving crimes and the key part these biometrics play in bringing offenders to justice, keeping the public safe and preventing harm to potential future victims.
The aim of the strategy board is to provide governance and oversight for the operation of the national DNA and fingerprint databases.
