In November 2023, the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) ran an open survey (IP and Business Growth) aimed at businesses of all sizes. The survey aimed to gather insights into the UKsIP-backed finance ecosystem andIPinsurance landscape.

The IPO received 83 (validated) responses. Of these, 69 respondents reported they hold a variety of IP. While the survey offers useful insights into the experiences of respondents, it should not be seen as a representative sample of the UK business population.

The responses received from the survey will contribute to the IPOs ongoing policy work to better understandthe UKs IP- backed finance ecosystem and IP insurance landscape.
