Applicants should read the latest version of the Immigration Specification where they tendered to deliver Contract Work in the Immigration and Asylum Category of Law, including Detained Duty Advice Scheme and Detained Asylum Casework.

8 April 2024 - Publication of the Additional Procurement Process for Civil Legal Aid Contracts from 1 September 2024 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
We have today published the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document relating to the Additional Procurement Process for Civil Legal Aid Contracts from 1 September 2024.

The deadline for submitting a tender through this procurement process is 17:00 on 22 April 2024.
18 March 2024 A further opportunity to tender for 2024 civil contract opens
A further opportunity to tender for the 2024 Standard Civil Contract, for organisations who have not bid or have not been successful in the initial exercise has opened.
The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) is inviting Tenders to deliver the publicly funded civil legal aid services from 1 September 2024 under the 2024 Standard Civil Contract in the following Categories of Law:
- Family;
- Housing and Debt and Welfare Benefits;
- Immigration and Asylum (including work at Immigration Removal Centres (IRCs));
- Mental Health;
- Community Care;
- Claims Against Public Authorities;
- Clinical Negligence;
- Public Law;
- Family Mediation;
- Education; and
- Discrimination.
Alongside tenders for the above Categories of Law, applicants may also tender to deliver the Housing Loss Prevention Advice Service (HLPAS), commencing on 1 September 2024 in Barnstaple, Torquay, Newton Abbott, Blackpool, Preston, Crewe, Lancaster, St Helens, Taunton, Yeovil and Wigan only.
Organisations do not need to submit a response to this procurement process where they:

have been notified of a successful outcome of their 2024 Standard Civil Contract Tender through the eTendering message board; and
-
are not seeking to deliver Contract Work in additional Categories of Law and/or from additional offices/Procurement Areas.
Tenders must be submitted using the LAAs eTendering system and must be submitted by 17:00 on 22 April 2024.
Applicants may submit any questions they have via eTendering by 11.59pm on 1 April 2024. Answers will be published in the Week commencing 8 April 2024.

21 February 2024 - Headline intentions for further tender opportunity planned for 2024 Standard Civil Contracts published
A headline intentions document is now available from the documents section above. It sets out our approach for the further tender opportunity planned for the Standard Civil Contract 2024.
The LAA intends to award contract work under this process to commence on or around 1 September 2024 and the tender opportunity opens on 18 March 2024.
