Main findings

The report shows that from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022:

  • approximately 274,800 men were offered screening, with 79.0% receiving a conclusive screen
  • 1,794 aneurysms (aorta measuring more than or equal to 3.0cm) were found
  • approximately 14,600 men were on surveillance during the year and approximately 22,300 surveillance scans were undertaken
  • 753 men with large aneurysms (more than or equal to 5.5cm) were appropriately referred for surgery, that were suitable for intervention and did not decline
