Following publication of the Decommissioning Strategy the OGAs Decommissioning Team will now form part of the renamed Exploration, Production and Decommissioning (EPD) directorate, led by Gunther Newcombe, and Angela Seeney will lead the renamed Technology, Supply Chain and Data (TSD) directorate.
This change, which takes effect as of today 1st August, is indicative of the integral role decommissioning plays within the wider asset stewardship lifecycle and streamlines OGAs interface with licence holders and other key stakeholders.
Jim Christie, OGA Head of Decommissioning, will co-chair the MER UK Decommissioning Board. A new industry chair will be announced, following the appointment of Colette Cohen as CEO of the Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC).
