The concept of an Annual Position Statement (APS) was removed from the National Planning Policy Frameworkin December 2024. However, transitional arrangements apply where a local planning authority has already confirmed its housing land supply position for a year through a published Annual Position Statement that was examined by the Planning Inspectorate (paragraph 233).
Statements received 2024
By 31 July 2024, the following local planning authorities had submitted an Annual Position Statement to the Planning Inspectorate:

By 1 April 2024, the following local planning authority had indicated an intention to submit an Annual Position Statement:
- Sunderland City Council (update 8 July 2024 Sunderland City Council no longer intend to submit an Annual Position Statement)

The maximum file size per email is 15MB. Content greater than this should either be separated, or submitted to that address via WeTransfer or Drop Box.
