Sarah Holmyardand Georgina Wrighthave both been appointed to theboard ofthe UK Sea Fish Industry Authority (Seafish)for a first term of three years from 11 November 2024 to 10 November 2027.

Seafish is a non-departmental public bodywhich carries out a wide range of activities to support a thriving UK seafood industry, working with the fishing industry and processors through to importers, retailers and food service providers.

The recruitment was carried out in accordance with the Ministerial Code of Practice for Appointments to Public Bodies.

Biographies

Sarah Holmyard is Director of UK Women in Fisheries, as well as Head of Sales and Marketing at the award-winning aquaculture company, Offshore Shellfish Ltd. Sarah has extensive experience of the sea fishing and aquaculture industries, having previously held executive roles at Seafood Scotland, Interfish, Cleanseas and The Kingfish Company.

Georgina Wright, formerly the Sales Director at Mowi Scotland, brings 30 years experience of the sea fish industry to the Seafish Board.
