The Brathay Apprentice Challenge has already attracted interest from teams of apprentices across England including Virgin Media, training provider Derwent Training Association and the Eden Project amongst others.
Now in its fifth year, the Brathay Apprentice Challenge sees teams undertake a series of exciting and interactive work-related challenges to develop new skills and showcase their employer by engaging with young people and businesses to promote the benefits of apprenticeships
Teams initially compete on a regional level with eight teams then progressing to the National Finals with the Challenge culminating in a Logistical and Teambuilding Finale at Brathay Trusts Windermere headquarters from 13 to16 June 2016. The 2016 apprentice team of the year will be announced on 15 June 2016.
The 2015 teams conducted more than 300 school visits to talk about the benefits of apprenticeships, recruited over 100 employers to offer apprenticeships and 49 community projects were delivered.
Apprentices from Dale Power Solutions and Sellafield Ltd were crowned joint 2015 apprentice teams of the year at Brathay Trusts Windermere headquarters in July 2015.
Teams must have 9 apprentices and can represent an employer, group of small businesses, industry, supply chain or training provider, there is no limit to the number of teams that can be entered per organisation or group.
